This includes asking if they have insurance, what this covers and the amount of coverage. In order for your chosen transport provider to collect your item from an auction house they will require a copy of your zero-balance invoice (proof of payment), a copy of your driver’s licence as well as a signed, written letter authorising them to collect on your behalf.

If you notice any issues, document them with photographs and contact the transport provider immediately. Please note, you will need to have photographic evidence to prove the item was not damaged before transit to be able to make an insurance claim, so please ensure you have received photos from the auction house prior to the transport.
