Truckit
Australia's freight marketplace

Take a photo of the thing you need moved. That is now enough to start a freight quote.
Create with AI is live on Truckit. Upload a picture of your couch, your dresser or your pallet of stock, and Truckit reads the image, works out which freight category it belongs in, and estimates the weight and dimensions. Those details flow into your listing along with the photos.
No tape measure. No guessing what a three-seater weighs. No typing out a description of your own furniture.
It is the biggest change we have made to how a Truckit job begins, and it sits on a homepage we rebuilt around it.
Starting a freight listing has always been the hardest part of moving something bulky.
You have to know what your item is called in freight terms. You have to estimate dimensions you have never measured. You have to guess a weight. For most people this is genuinely unfamiliar territory, and unfamiliar territory is where people give up and decide to deal with it next weekend.
Photographing something, by contrast, is the easiest thing in the world. Everyone already does it without thinking.
So we moved the hard part onto us.
Upload one image or several. Truckit analyses them to identify the item, assign the right freight category, and estimate the approximate weight and dimensions. Those details flow straight into your listing, along with the photos themselves. We do the heavy lifting by pre-filling the trickiest details, leaving you with just a few simple fields to review and confirm.
What it read from one photo

Category: Furniture
Weight: 80 kg, estimated
Dimensions: 270 x 95 x 80 cm, estimated
Description: Yellow three-seater modular sofa with metal legs
Nobody measured anything. Every field above stays editable.

While the AI does the heavy lifting, you stay in the driver's seat. The tool provides estimates, meaning every field remains fully editable if you need to tweak a dimension. If you would rather skip the AI entirely, our classic manual form is still just a few clicks away. Plus, it is completely optimised for mobile, letting you snap a photo and build your listing directly from your phone.
Building this properly meant rethinking the page around it. A freight marketplace covers a lot of ground. We move cars, pallets, excavators, furniture, livestock, boats and about a dozen other categories. We serve someone shifting one couch across town and we serve national retailers moving stock every day.
The primary driver for this redesign was direct user feedback telling us the experience needed to be simpler, slicker, and more modern. When you visit the new homepage, you will notice a cleaner layout with a clearer path to what you came for. As Create with AI is the flagship feature of that streamlined experience, we put it right at the top. To reinforce our platform's reliability, we have also added dynamic trust metrics directly to the page. You will now see our active number of customers and providers as well as a link straight to our Google reviews so you can read them for yourself. .
Marketplace: The classic Truckit. Post your job, compare quotes from verified providers, book the one you want. Best for one-off moves.
Truckit for Business: For companies shipping regularly. Built around repeat freight, with the tools and account structure that come with volume.
Managed Services: For businesses that would rather hand the whole thing over. We manage the freight, you get on with your day.
Each pillar carries its own key features and a three-step guide to how it works. No guessing which one you are supposed to be in.
Transport providers make up half of this marketplace, and our new homepage continues to reflect that. The page features dedicated provider sections: the Search Jobs link remains right in the header, new providers can register directly, and anyone can browse recently completed jobs—including the item details, the route, and the winning bid.
The live job value is especially worth a mention. It is a real number, updating as jobs come and go. If you are weighing up whether there is enough work here to bother with, that number answers the question better than any marketing line we could write.
A cleaner homepage needs a cleaner menu. We’ve reduced the clutter at the top of the page so you can find what you need faster. How it works is now Platform Solutions, acting as a single, streamlined home for all our core services, including Truckit for Business. Everything else you rely on, like Search Jobs and Freight Categories, remains exactly where you left it, and the footer hasn’t changed at all.
Everything that made Truckit work still works exactly as it did. Your account, your history, your saved details, your providers. Nothing has been removed and nothing has moved out from under you.
This redesign exists because our customers told us what a better Truckit looked like. That feedback was worth more to us than any internal opinion, and it is the reason the page looks the way it does now.
So if you have an idea for what would make it better again, tell us. That is genuinely how this one got built.

News · Managed Services Freight is the friction your business doesn’t need. Here’s how managed services remove it. Why more Australian businesses are handing their freight to a managed service, and what they get back. KD Kieran Dawkins Head of Managed Services · Truckit.net 18 July 2026 · 5 min read While most businesses can understand a freight rate card, a lot aren’t quite aware of the true freight costs to their business. Everything from the time it takes to procure and manage carriers, to increasing capacity at short notice, through to chasing ETAs, reconciling invoices, misaligned payment terms and […]
We’ve been busy building behind the scenes, and a wave of new features have just rolled out. Most of it points the same way: putting AI to work on the parts of freight that used to eat your time. You can now find freight jobs just by asking Type "find container jobs within 100km of Maryborough" into the Search Jobs page, and Truckit knows exactly what you mean. No filters to set, no […]
